My Scratch Game about Quality Blogging.

We have been learning how to create games on Scratch that show movement.
I enjoyed using the code blocks to get my sprite (character) to move.
I found it easy to choose a character and add the code blocks.
I found it hard to find a way to stop my sprite from disappearing when it walks off the edge of the page.
Next time I will add more code to get my dinosaur to have a conversation with my readers about blogging, because at the moment my game isn't teaching anyone anything.

Instructions:
Click the green flag to start.  Use the up, down, left and right arrow keys on your keyboard to make the dinosaur walk.
Next, I want to make it so that when it walks, and when he touches different items in the screen, it teaches us different cybersmart blogging ideas.  What do you think would be a great point to teach people about?

About Me

We were learning about creating introductions using Google Slides.
I found it easy to take my photo.
I found it hard to mask my photo to the right shape.
I really enjoyed choosing the background colour.
Next time I need to add a background colour.

My Labelled Waka

We have been learning to show our learning using Screencastify.  I used some multi-modal texts to  help me find information for labelling my waka.
The part  I enjoyed the most was finding the different textures for my waka.
It was  challenging finding my accurate information for labelling.
Next time I will create an animation of my waka!

Winter Magnetic Poetry

We were learning to

Welcome to the Sandpit!

Kia ora koutou,
This is a place for me to demo much of the work I am doing with my learners as part of the Learn, Create, Share model we use in the Manaiakalani Outreach Programme here in our Tairāwhiti Cluster.  Our learners and teachers are developing an in-depth understanding of how to use Learn, Create, Share to enhance their learning by making it visible, connected, ubiquitous and empowering.

We:
Recognise effective practice - as there is so much wonderful practice in our current classrooms
Amplify that practice by making it visible, connected, ubiquitous and empowering and
Turbocharge it using the affordances of digital technology.  This is an exciting space to work in and I am excited to be able to share this learning with you here.
